Who We Are

WBCR is a free-form, non-commercial radio station governed by Brooklyn College students based in Whitehead Hall, Room 306A. WBCR’s programming reflects the diversity of our student body and their multicultural, socioeconomic backgrounds. Our weekly shows explore the roots and future in all areas of music and culture while staying creative in the face of relentless distractions and boundaries. We can be heard on our website WBCR.net WORLDWIDE. Instead of restricting the station to the Television and Radio Department, WBCR functions also as a club for students to express themselves on-air no matter the major, interest, or show format. Our programs cover a diverse spectrum of formats, including Talk, Music, Sports, Comedy, Politics, Business, Informational/Community Affairs, and more.
